Music Friendly Community Workshop Coming To Nacogdoches on July 17
The Texas Music Office will host a Music Friendly Community workshop on Wednesday, July 17, in Nacogdoches. The workshop is open to anyone interested in learning about the new Texas Music Office program that seeks to foster music business economic development in Texas cities and communities. Brendon Anthony, director of the Texas Music Office within the Office of the Governor’s Economic Development and Tourism Division, will be present to explain the Music Friendly Community designation and answer questions
TMO Brings Texas Music Showcase to Key West Songwriters Fest
On May 13, the Texas Music Office + Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Association (TxHSA) co-sponsored the Texas Music Showcase at Key West Songwriters Festival featuring Jack Ingram, Wade Bowen, Jamie Lin Wilson, Kelley Mickwee, and many more. TxHSA also announced its 2020 Hall of Fame inductees (Jerry Jeff Walker, Jim Collins, Larry Henley, Susanna Clark, and T-Bone Walker) during showcase.

Civic Lubbock, Inc has opened up applications for their local music project, Lubbock Music NOW from April 1 to April 30, 2019. The non-profit organization is asking artists and bands within a 100-mile radius of Lubbock who have played gigs in Lubbock over the past year to submit their applications for a place on the 2019 album.
