  • The University of Texas at Brownsville offers nine music degrees: the Bachelor of Music with options in teacher certification for Instrumental Music (band/orchestra including all brass, woodwinds, strings, and percussion), Keyboard, Voice (Choral) and Guitar; performance degree options including the Bachelor of Music in Instrumental, Keyboard, Voice and Guitar; and a Master of Music in Music Education. Ensemble opportunities include: Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, Wind Ensemble (Allen Clark, Director), Concert Band, Master Chorale (Dianne Brumley, Director), University Chorus, Bravo Opera Company, Mariachi Escorpion, Jazz Bands, Jazz Combos, Percussion Ensembles, Guitar Ensemble, and a variety of other chamber ensembles.
