October 2017 Community Outreach
Texas Music Office Director Brendon Anthony gave presentations about the Texas Music Office's economic development goals - including the office's new "Music Friendly Communities" program - during two different presentations to groups in Texas in October: on Tues, Oct 10, to nearly 200 adults at UT Austin's LAMP (Learning Activities for Mature People) which is a continuing education program within OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute), as well as to students in Kerrville as a part of Project Jumpstart at Schreiner University.
Part of the Texas Music Office's legislative mandate is to promote "the development of the music industry in the state by informing members of that industry and the public about the resources available in the state for music production."
If your organization or educational program would like the Texas Music Office to give a presentation about TMO resources available to Texas musicians and music businesses, please contact the office for more information.
