SBA Loans for Hurricane Property Damage
TEXAS MUSIC BUSINESSES affected by Hurricane Harvey: The filing deadline for loans from the United States' Small Business Administration (SBA) for property damage caused by Hurricane Harvey is coming up on November 24, 2017. The deadline to return economic injury applications is May 25, 2018. Continue reading for info on how to apply for these relief programs.

TMO at Music Cities Convention 2017
TMO Director Brendon Anthony recently traveled to Memphis, TN to take part in the Music Cities Conference, where he promoted the TMO’s new “Music Friendly Communities” program, as well as studied best practices to help strengthen music communities all around the state. Sound Diplomacy’s Music Cities Conference provided leaders in the field an opportunity to meet and discuss best practices for supporting their local music industries.

Community Outreach: Texas Music Office Director Brendon Anthony gave presentations about the Texas Music Office's economic development goals - including the office's new "Music Friendly Communities" program - during two different presentations to groups in Texas: on Tues, Oct 10, to nearly 200 adults at UT Austin's LAMP (Learning Activities for Mature People) which is a continuing education program within OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute), as well as to students in Kerrville as a part of Project Jumpstart at Schreiner University.
