The City of Dripping Springs and the City of Round Rock were both certified this month as Music Friendly Communities by Governor Greg Abbott, TMO Director Brendon Anthony, and Community Relations & Outreach Specialist Chip Adams. Texas music blues living legend Jimmie Vaughan was a surprise special guest at the Dripping Springs certification ceremony. Meanwhile, Ameripolitan music star Dale Watson headlined Round Rock's Music On Main show, which immediately followed the Round Rock Music Friendly Community certification ceremony.

Governor Abbott Announces Dripping Springs Designated As Music Friendly Community
Governor Greg Abbott today announced that Dripping Springs, having completed the multi-step certification process, has been designated as a Music Friendly Community by the Texas Music Office (TMO). The Music Friendly Community program seeks to foster music business-related economic development in Texas cities and communities.

The U.S. Small Business Administration announced TODAY that they will reopen the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant application portal tomorrow, April 24, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. CST for operators of live music venues, live performing arts organizations, museums and movie theaters, as well as live venue promoters, theatrical producers and talent representatives to apply for critical economic relief.
Dripping Springs To Become A TMO-Certified Music Friendly Community On April 29th
On Thursday, April 29th at 5:30 pm, the Texas Music Office (TMO) + the Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau will celebrate Dripping Springs becoming a TMO-certified Music Friendly Community (MFC). TMO Community Relations & Outreach Specialist Chip Adams will represent the TMO, awarding Dripping Springs MFC liaison Pam Owens the "Music Friendly" honor at Hudson’s On Mercer St, a restaurant that regularly hosts local music.
Round Rock To Be Officially Designated A Music Friendly Community
On Wednesday, May 5th at 6 pm, the Texas Music Office (TMO) + the City of Round Rock will celebrate Round Rock's officially becoming a TMO-certified Music Friendly Community. The City of Round Rock has been working for months to complete the multi-step certification process, in order to receive the coveted designation.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced the Texas Music Office (TMO) and the City of Round Rock will co-host a virtual Music Friendly Community workshop on Tuesday, March 30. TMO Community Relations and Outreach Specialist Chip Adams will co-host the workshop via livestream to represent the TMO, answer questions, and speak about the Music Friendly Community program.
