Governor Abbott Announces El Paso Designated As Music Friendly Community
Governor Greg Abbott today announced that El Paso, having completed the multi-step certification process, has been designated as a Music Friendly Community by the Texas Music Office (TMO). The Music Friendly Community program seeks to foster music business-related economic development in Texas cities and communities.
El Paso To Be Certified As A Music Friendly Community On June 18
On Friday, June 18, the Texas Music Office (TMO) + the City of El Paso + the El Paso International Music Foundation will celebrate El Paso becoming a TMO-certified Music Friendly Community (MFC). TMO Community Relations & Outreach Specialist Chip Adams will represent the TMO, awarding El Paso MFC liaison Veronica Castro (Director of Tourism, Destination El Paso) the "Music Friendly" honor at an in-person celebration in El Paso.
