The 58th ACM Awards will mark a return to Texas for the first time since the landmark 50th ACM Awards, which took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington in 2015. Governor Abbott and the Texas Music Office Congratulate the City of Frisco on Being Named the Host For the 58th Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards in 2023.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced that the City of Harker Heights, having completed the multi-step certification process, has been designated as a Music Friendly Community by the Texas Music Office (TMO). Joe Jonas Lassos Litter As The New Face of DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS

It’s said that everything is bigger in Texas and in the hilarious new PSAs for Don’t mess with Texas, singer, songwriter and actor Joe Jonas finds lassoing litter may be his biggest challenge yet. The PSAs feature the former Westlake, TX resident taking an over-the-top approach to keeping Texas roadways free of litter, and inspiring a whole office of people to join him in the effort. As the new face of Don’t mess with Texas, Jonas joins the likes of other Texas artists who have lent their support to the campaign including George Strait, Willie Nelson, Black Pumas, Erykah Badu, the Randy Rogers Band, Las Fenix, and Grupo Fantasma.

TMO Presents the LONE STAR SHOWCASE at Folk Alliance International

On Thursday, May 19, the Texas Music Office will host the Lone Star Showcase at the Folk Alliance International conference in Kansas City, MO featuring BettySoo, Natalie Price, Danny Schmidt, Giula Millanta, and Los Arcos Hermanos Pena. This is our first year back since the January 2020 conference in New Orleans. Additionally, to find out how you can get involved in Folk Alliance International, check out the Southwest Regional conference in Austin this September 21-25.
