Gillespie County Fair features a downtown parade on Main Street (Friday), horse races (Saturday-Sunday), and live entertainment (Friday and Saturday). Other activities include livestock show, 4-H and FFA exhibits, crafts show and sale, and the Gillespie County Fair Queen Contest. Plenty of good food and refreshments. Past performers have included Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, Moe Bandy, Johnny Rodriguez, Gene Watson, Granger Smith, Casey Donahew and Asleep At The Wheel.
