Governor Abbott Appoints Franklin To 513th Judicial District In Harris County

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Jacqueline Franklin as Judge of the 513th Judicial District Court in Harris County, effective September 1, 2026, for a term set to expire December 31, 2028, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified.

Jacqueline Franklin of Bellaire is an attorney with Fanaff, Gonzales, Baldwin & Cunningham. Previously, she was an attorney with Linda Villarreal and Associates and Fancher & Neblett, LLP and a former assistant district attorney for the 105th Judicial District in Nueces County. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, former member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the Corpus Christi Bar Association, and former member and president-elect of the Corpus Christi Young Lawyers Association. She volunteers her time as an active member on the Parent Teacher Organization of her child’s school. Franklin received a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Public Policy from the University of Arizona and a Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
