Governor Abbott Appoints Fossett to 137th Judicial District In Lubbock County
AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott appointed Laura Beth Fossett as Judge of the 137th Judicial District Court in Lubbock County for a term set to expire December 31, 2026.
Laura Beth Fossett of Lubbock has served as an assistant district attorney in the Lubbock Criminal District Attorney’s Office for the last 14 years. She is a member of the Lubbock County Bar Association, Lubbock Women’s Bar Association, and the Texas Tech University American Inn of Court. Additionally, she is a sustaining member with the Junior League of Lubbock and an active volunteer and board member in the PTA at her children's school. Fossett received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Abilene Christian University and a Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University.
