The Plaza Classic Film Festival is the world's largest festival devoted to classic cinema. With more than 90 screenings, concerts, and fun celebrity events, the PCFF is an amazing spectacle in and around the Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Centre, a 1930 atmospheric movie palace restored in 2006. It includes outdoor movies in the street and atop the Mills Plaza Parking Garage, and related exhibits and events at the El Paso Museum of Art, El Paso Museum of History and El Paso Public Library. Past guests include: Al Pacino, Richard Dreyfuss, Eva Marie Saint, Peter Bogdanovich, Rita Moreno, Shirley Jones, Debbie Reynolds, Kathleen Turner, Robert Wagner, Cindy Williams, Tippi Hedren, Michael York and Louise Fletcher. The festival offers some of the best movies ever made for the best prices you'll find anywhere. All-access passes are $200 and tickets range from free to $10. Bands who have opened for outdoor movies include: Latin Grammy nominee Amalia Mondragon, The Royalty, Sleepercar, Fixed Idea, Fungi Mungle, the Iveys, Tribe (formerly Mariachi Fatigo) and the Lusitania. It all takes place in El Paso, Texas, under the West Texas sky, indoors and out.
