We are excited to be celebrating the 26th Annual MLK Community Celebration in Austin TX on Jan 21st 2019. Following the MLK March we will have a music festival at Huston Tillotson University from 11 am until 3:30 pm. The MLK Community Festival kicks off as soon the Marchers arrive on location; it will include all types of vendors, community based & non-profit organizations, food trucks, and local jazz & Soul/R&B musical artists. Children's area and seating for elderly. No entry costs. We are proud to boast that the MLK March & Community Festival is the most diverse event in the city of Austin. The Annual Community March celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy while uplifting diversity and multi-culturalism in our city. The MLK Community March kicks off on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 9 a.m. with a short program at the MLK Statue on the University of Texas campus.. We will then march to the historic Huston-Tillotson University, where exciting activities are planned. All businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals are invited to march and celebrate Dr. King’s legacy.
