Dutton Ranch Still
Emerson Miller/Paramount+

A record-breaking premiere for a TV series filmed in North Texas. Not a bad way to kick off the summer!

Dutton Ranch, the latest entry in the Yellowstone franchise, is officially "the biggest original series debut in Paramount+ history, amassing 12.9 million global viewers in its first seven days on the service." It's true what they say, y'all: everything's bigger in Texas.

Welcome To The TFC, Sophia Santos

Welcome to the TFC Sophia Santos

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the Texas Film Commission, Intake Coordinator Sophia Santos!

An El Paso native and an alum of The University of California, Los Angeles, Sophia was a Graduate Opportunity Fellow, completing her Master of Arts in Cinema and Media Studies while focusing her research interests on Latinx films, filmmakers, and communities. After graduation, she participated in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Gold Rising Program and worked as a Research Fellow with the Academy Film Archive, cataloging underrepresented films and filmmakers into a database that would be used for film research.

Sophia will be attending this year's Plaza Classic Film Festival as a representative of the TFC, so say hello if you see her while attending!
