  • Red Productions - Editor

Red Productions - Editor

  • Project Type: Industry
  • Pay Status: Paid
  • Production Company / Studio: Red Productions
  • Location: Fort Worth
  • Start Date: Monday, April 17, 2023
  • Shooting Schedule: Full Time

Crew Description: Do you like to be handed a bunch of puzzle pieces and left to put them together on your own? Can you juggle multiple projects while keeping track of each and every little detail for all of them? Are you a perfectionist who is never satisfied with “good enough”? If this sounds like you, then you might be able to help us. We are looking for an editor who can work with our team to handle the day to day grind of our post-production activities. Not only will the ideal candidate possess all of the above qualities, but they will have a passion for editing and a desire to grow in every aspect of post-production.

Our close-knit team works with a select roster of directors, writers, cinematographers, and other bright creatives allowing us to provide our Clients with everything they need. The main task for this role is to take the raw pieces of our projects and turn them into final videos with little supervision. The ideal candidate will boast a portfolio showing they possess the traits of a successful editor such as timing, judgment, storytelling and a creative voice. Past work showing a wide range of content (talking head pieces, sizzles, commercial, branded pieces, narrative, motion graphics pieces, etc.) are best.

This is not an entry level role. The ideal candidate will have already been acting in this role for a minimum of two years at a production company, agency, or as part of an in-house video role. For all duties, the candidate must be experienced in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, and Photoshop. Any experience in motion design is a BIG plus.

Red Productions has all the trappings of a 21st century creative office: dogs, a kegerator, fun music streaming for most of the day and open workspaces. We also have quiet time to dig in and focus. Oh, and 401k, health benefits, vacation/sick time, and profit sharing. You’re also given two days of paid time off for serving the community through what we call “giving back days”. This is a full time role located at our studio in Fort Worth with around five percent travel, and a TENTATIVE START DATE of April 2023.

Responsibilities/Expectations
· Edit projects from beginning to completion
· Work directly with our producers, directors, and VP of Creative to implement notes and produce top quality work
· Interface directly with clients in a professional way
· Use After Effects to create motion graphics pieces for video
· Gain a clear understanding of Company Post-Production workflow and how we service our clients
· Maintain continuous knowledge of project status
· Stay current and knowledgeable on the present and evolving techniques/technology in Post-Production; including VFX, design, and animation as well as non linear editing
· Ability and motivation to carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
· Incredibly detail oriented and organized
· Understand project requirements (budgeted hours & timeline) and stay on track
· 2+ years experience editing in the professional realm

Application Process
You will upload your resume + cover letter (put them together in one file) and take a brief survey. Your resume should document your work accomplishments, awards, education/training and experience. ALL APPLICANTS MUST include a link to your reel/examples of your work in your resume. Please upload everything in PDF format.
