About South Side Studios 

South Side Studios is an 11-acre production facility featuring 70,000 square feet of sound stages and 50,000 square feet of support space. Our newly renovated campus is designed to accommodate production of all sizes, offering state-of-the-art equipment and versatile spaces for film, TV, and commercial projects. South Side Studios has hosted major productions, including Cruel Summer, Atonement, and Queen of the South.

About the Role

South Side Studios is seeking a Head of Studio based in the Dallas, TX area to lead studio revenue, bookings, and production partnerships. This is a senior leadership role responsible for achieving annual revenue targets, building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, and positioning South Side Studios as a premier production destination in Texas. This role owns the studio's production strategy from both a creative and commercial standpoint, overseeing incoming productions, driving occupancy across soundstages and support facilities, and working closely with the board on forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting. This is a full-time salaried position. Must be located in the Dallas, Texas area and able to work on-site.

Responsibilities:

- Achieve full-year revenue targets and stage occupancy goals.

- Develop and manage a board-approved annual operating budget, revenue forecast, and growth plan.

- Build, execute, and continuously refine the studio's sales and marketing strategy.

- Create, maintain, and report on a comprehensive sales pipeline of active and prospective productions.

- Actively source, pitch, and close productions and long-term studio partnerships

- Serve as the senior production-facing executive from initial inquiry through deal close and project completion

- Prepare monthly reports and performance updates for board review

- Establish pricing and production offerings to remain competitive in the market

- Collaborate with prop house and studio staff to ensure productions are supported at a high level

- Represent South Side Studios at markets, festivals, industry events, and networking functions

Qualifications

- 5+ years experience in studio management, physical production, or sales

- Demonstrated success meeting revenue targets and executing business development strategy

- Experience building budgets, forecasts, and executive-level reporting

- Proven ability to close complex deals and long-term partnerships

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills

- Familiarity with studio management platforms (Studio Hero preferred)
