  • Oak Cliff Film Festival is hiring a Festival Coordinator. Deadline for resume applications is Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017.

    Via OCFF:

    Under the supervision of the Festival Director, The OCFF Festival Coordinator is the person responsible for coordinating and supervising all logistic and operational aspects of production for the 7th Annual Oak Cliff Film Festival, to be held over four days from Thursday, June 7 – Sunday, June 10, 2018.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • • Coordinating and supervising all logistic and operational aspects of the 2018 festival, including venue management, box office and ticketing management, volunteer recruitment and management, travel/transportation and lodging of visiting guests and filmmakers, Filmmaker/VIP lounge management, coordination and management of merchandise, coordination and implementation of Opening/Closing Night and all other special events and festivities, facilitation and implementation of communication technology, and management of city permitting.
    • • Assist in the selection of other seasonal support staff and volunteers
    • • Supervising all seasonal staff; coordinating seasonal staff meetings, managing progress within each staff function in the lead¬up to the festival, and being point¬person on the days¬of to help facilitate all necessary functions of the annual festival
    • • Assist in the maintenance of www.filmoakcliff.com
    • • Assist in production and editing of festival print program
    • • Coordinate and implement in¬kind services and products, as well as sponsorship packages, in conjunction with the Sponsorship Coordinator
    • • Supervise ticketing and hospitality for visiting guests in conjunction with Programming Staff and Travel/Hospitality Coordinator
    • • Assist with management of the ticketing system (Prekindle)
    • • Manage all vendor relations under supervision of the Festival Director (caterers, design firms, hotel staff, merchandisers, city officials, venues/location representatives, transportation providers, box office/online ticketing managers)
    • • Supervise set¬up and breakdown of all festival equipment and materials at each location and/or venue
    • • Coordinate feedback for post¬festival retrospective from staff and volunteers
    • • Coordinate outstanding payments for vendors and staff post¬festival
    • • Coordinate festival “wrap,” including pulling and compiling final attendance numbers, sending sponsor thank¬yous, and supervising delivery of “wrap” video/stills

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • • Excellent organizational, office management, multi¬tasking, and interpersonal skills with an ability to meet and enforce deadlines, as well as work in conjunction with multiple departments within the organization in a decentralized office setting
    • • Excellent oral, written, and communication skills, including the ability to write, proofread, and edit documents
    • • Excellent team leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and lead seasonal staff in a decentralized environment
    • • Ability to fully commit to seeing an event through from start to finish
    • • Demonstrated MS Office Suite skills
    • • Demonstrated Dropbox management and organizational skills
    • • Proficiency in Google Products, including: Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Streak Gmail integration
    • • Demonstrated success dealing with the public with courtesy, tact, and timeliness
    • • Willingness to take on new tasks to implement creative solutions to complex, sudden, and urgent problems
    • • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as necessary
    • Commitment:
      This position commences on November 6, 2017 and concludes on or around June 29, 2018. This position’s commitment averages:

      • • 10 hrs/week from November – February
      • • 20 hrs/week from March – April
      • • Nearly full – time work anticipated in May – June
