Job Description Summary:
Works with ACCTV Executive Producer and production team with technical, post production workflow (closed captions, encoding) and distribution of all content to various ACCTV platforms, both on broadcast and digital channels. Oversees broadcast scheduling software and programming management system for ACCTV’s broadcast channel and is the technical expert for ACCTV’s broadcast operations. Works as liaison with ACC IT and oversees content distribution for district-wide digital signage (includes graphical and video content).

Description of Duties and Tasks
- Prepares automation playout systems, programming content and oversees the scheduling of broadcast distribution for ACCTV. This could include but is not limited to adding closed captioning from external vendors, normalization of audio, and converting/transcoding videos to the ACCTV broadcast standards, and is a key member of the team working with Austin PBS’ engineer team, ACCTV’s broadcast partner.
- Works with ACCTV EP to curate programming and schedule on ACCTV broadcast / digital channels and district wide digital signage system.
- Consult and communicate with Austin PBS engineering management and other engineers on technical issues as required.
- Oversees backup of all content using server systems in place for the TV station. This includes organizing and tracking past archives and programming.
- Works with PEG channel managers, city representatives, cable channels, and Austin PBS engineers to ensure ACCTV is up and on the air and troubleshoots technical issues when there are outages or technical issues.
- Uploads, schedules, and maintains the video library, playlists and programming for ACCTV’s digital distribution platforms. This includes but is not limited to ACCTV’s YouTube channel, ACCTV website, and the ACCTV OTT streaming application.
- Manages digital talent release forms database and other necessary documentation for the station for programming, scheduling, etc. in google drive.
- Shares relevant video and programming content as needed throughout the district as requested.
- Works alongside ACC’s marketing department to curate, create, manage, schedule presentations, videos, and adequate, resourceful content for ACC’s district wide digital signage system with Arreya software system and the use of Chromeboxes. This includes troubleshooting and solving technical issues through the district with ACC IT and various ACC departments. Uses both video transcoding and image editing software to prepare some digital signage content from different ACC departments.
- Supports day to day operations of ACCTV, including basic television studio production as needed. Experience with studio production is a plus!

Knowledge
- Familiar with networked computer system environments and peripheral device capabilities.
- Knowledge of Mac, PC, and Chrome OS.
- Use of Google suite, such as Drive, Sheets, Docs, YouTube, etc.
- Comfortable with video/graphic technologies, including image creation/editing, audio QC, broadcast and online video distribution.
- Knowledge and understanding of general broadcast programming and scheduling playlist systems and software programs.
- Knowledge and technical understanding of broadcast connectivity to cable channels through GAATN (Greater Austin Area Telecommunications Network).

Salary Range: $49,205 - $61,506
