The Orange Film and Arts Festival is an international festival that envisions a thriving, culturally vibrant Southeast Texas where creativity is celebrated, artists are supported, and communities are united through the transformative power of the arts.
We strive to position Historical Downtown Orange, Texas as a dynamic regional hub for film, visual arts, theatre, literature, comedy, and cultural storytelling — a place where emerging talent and established creators share space, ideas, and inspiration.

Rules & Terms
1. General Eligibility
• The Orange Film and Arts Festival is open to filmmakers and artists worldwide.
• All submissions must be original works. The submitter must own all rights or have written permission for all content used.
• Films may have been previously screened or submitted to other festivals.
• Works in languages other than English must include English subtitles.

2. Accepted Categories
Categories include, but are not limited to:
• Narrative Short Films
• Feature Films
• Documentary (Micro, Short & Feature)
• Student Films
• Animation
• Visual Arts (painting, photography, murals, mixed media, digital art)
The festival reserves the right to move a submission to a more appropriate category.

3. Submission Requirements
• All submissions must be made through FilmFreeway.
• Films submitted must be final cuts.
• Screeners must be viewable and accessible throughout the judging period.
• Visual art submissions must include clear, high-resolution images and an artist statement.
• Submission fees are non-refundable.

4. Content Guidelines
The festival celebrates creative freedom and diverse voices; however, submissions must not include:
• Hate speech or harassment
• Explicit sexual violence
• Content promoting discrimination or illegal activity
The festival reserves the right to reject any submission that does not align with festival values.

5. Selection & Judging
• All submissions are reviewed by the festival’s selection committee and/or jury.
• Selection decisions are final.
• Not all submissions will be selected for screening or exhibition.

6. Exhibition & Screening
• Selected films may be screened in-person, virtually, or in a hybrid format.
• Visual art may be exhibited physically, digitally, or in promotional spaces.
• Selected participants must provide exhibition-ready files by required deadlines.

7. Rights & Clearances
By submitting, you confirm that:
• You own all rights to the submitted work.
• All music, images, performances, and likenesses are properly cleared.
• The festival assumes no responsibility for copyright or licensing disputes.

8. Promotional Use
By submitting, you grant the Orange Film and Arts Festival permission to use:
• Film clips, trailers, stills, artwork images, titles, and descriptions
for promotion, marketing, and press purposes.
No full films or artworks will be distributed or sold without permission.

• Awards may be presented at the discretion of the festival.
• Awards have no cash value unless otherwise stated.
• Jury decisions are final.

10. Conduct & Liability
• All participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully.
• The festival is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged materials.
• Participation is at the submitter’s own risk.
