TFC Virtual Forum: Backstage with ‘Austin City Limits’

When:

February 9, 2021 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Where:

Online

About the Event:

Join us throughout 2021 for our Virtual Forum: Looking Ahead series of webinars that examine the themes and events of our past and how they apply to our present and future. We'll present discussions with modern creatives who are navigating and shaping our industries.

Since that first night in 1974 when Willie Nelson kicked off what would be a historic set with a freewheeling rendition of ‘Whiskey River’, Austin City Limits has been and continues to be a genuine cultural sensation, helping to shape not only the worldwide perception of the Texas music scene, but the foundations of the Texas film and television industries as well. Join us for a conversation on the enduring legacy of the program and its future in the Lone Star State.

Featuring: Brendon Anthony (Director, Texas Music Office); Terry Lickona (Producer, Austin City Limits); Tracey Laird (Author, Austin City Limits: A History & Austin City Limits: A Monument to Music)
