About the Event:

Do you LOVE horror films? Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Austin School of Film has curated a special SFX workshop for anyone interested in sfx practical makeup effects or learning more about SFX make techniques with a Valentine’s Day twist.

Designed as a low-pressure one-day learning experience, participants will explore SFX looks inspired by some of their favorite Valentine’s Day horror films and recreate an iconic look encompassing carved skin, lots of red blood, literal heart eyes. Students will learn & play with industry-grade products provided in your handcrafted & curated LOVED TO DEATH SFX makeup box delivered straight to your home.

In their live workshop, you’ll be able to chat in real-time, ask questions, learn hands-on with real products, and get access to tried & true methods and techniques. Their SFX workshops are bite-sized versions of their SFX course series and are a perfect introduction to SFX for film friends, filmmakers, and horror film fanatics.

Deadline to register is Feb. 8, 2021.
