Where:
Austin, TX
About the Event:
| The Austin AI Film Festival returns for its second year on October 16 and 17, 2026, at the Topfer at Zach Theatre in Austin. AAIFF showcases generative and hybrid films and brings the filmmakers on stage to break down how the work was made. Friday is the Summit: keynotes, live workflow deconstructions, masterclasses, and process-focused sessions led by directors and studio founders. Speakers include Jason Zada (Secret Level), Nik Kleverov (Native Foreign), Davide Bianca (GRAiL), Adrienne Lahens (Infinite Studios), and Billy Boman, with more to be announced. Saturday brings big-screen showcases of the Official Selection across 11 competitive categories, director Q&As after each block, and an evening awards ceremony. More than 700 films were submitted for 2026. The festival's focus is craft and process: authorship, workflows, provenance, credit, and the role of human creative decision-making in production. The inaugural 2025 festival drew more than 300 attendees from around the world. Full lineup, schedule, and passes at austinaifilmfest.com. |
