A Conversation with Pablo Azar
April 7, 2018 6:00 pm – 8:45 pm
About the Event:
The Dallas-Fort Worth Local welcomes international star Pablo Azar for an evening conversation and you are invited! Hector Garcia, Dallas-Ft. Worth National Board Member, will host the conversation on the changing dynamics in Spanish language media work, and in particular the success of SAG-AFTRA members in organizing Telemundo.
Pablo Azar began his acting career in his native Mexico in 2001. Since then, he has participated in several projects for Hispanic television in Mexico, Colombia, and in the USA, for companies such as Telemundo, Venevision, TV Azteca, Televisa, Fox Latino, and most notably in the American market, in the TBS comedy Wrecked. In 2005, Pablo’s performance in the Telemundo Novela Second Chance made him internationally known and it led to more than 10 successful novelas with the company.
Besides on-camera acting, Pablo’s talent extends to dubbing, voice-overs, live theater, and as an international painter.
Pablo became a SAG-AFTRA member in 2013. He is one of the leaders in the SAG-AFTRA campaign to unionize Telemundo and currently serves as chair of the Negotiations Committee. Additionally, he serves as a board member of the Miami Local.
