Young Masters Program Accepting Applications
Do you know a talented, deserving Texas-based 8th-11th grade artist who you think could be part of the Texas Cultural Trust's 2018 Young Masters class? The Texas Young Masters Program is a joint initiative between the Texas Cultural Trustand the Texas Commission on the Arts, recognizing excellence in 8th through 11th grade in dance, theatre, literary arts, media arts, film, music, and visual arts. A Legislative Victory for Texas Music

Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a new anti-counterfeiting bill (SB 1343) into law that strengthens protections against physical music piracy and provides law enforcement representatives and prosecutors with clear and efficient legal tools that can be used to protect the Texas music industry.

Kids In A New Groove Seeks Music Mentors For TX Youth in Foster Care
Central Texas musicians - looking to change some lives?
Austin-based nonprofit Kids In A New Groove is looking for volunteer music mentors for their "Music through Mentorship" program, providing one-on-one music lessons to youth in foster care. Current needs are in the Round Rock, Leander, Georgetown, and Cedar Park areas, however any and all are welcome!

TMO Outreach in the Community
