Wimberley to be Certified as a Music Friendly Community
On Friday, April 29, the Texas Music Office (TMO) will join City of Wimberley - and the Wimberley Valley Arts & Culture Alliance - to celebrate Wimberley becoming a TMO-certified Music Friendly Community. The Music Friendly Community program seeks to foster music business-related economic development in Texas cities and communities. The community celebration featuring live music and hosted by the City of Wimberley and the Texas Music Office is scheduled for April 29, at 6 pm at Blue Hole Regional Park. TMO Community Relations & Outreach Specialist Chip Adams will present the Music Friendly Community designation to Mayor Gina Fulkerson.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced the Texas Music Office (TMO) and the City of Harker Heights will cohost a Music Friendly Community workshop on Thursday, April 21, at 5:30 pm. City of Bryan to Be Certified As A Music Friendly Community on March 4th
Please join the Texas Music Office + City of Bryan on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Grand Stafford Theater for a special night celebrating Bryan's official designation as a TMO-certified Music Friendly Community. Representatives from the TMO will join leaders and stakeholders from the Bryan music community for the formal presentation. Following the 7:30 pm certification ceremony, a free concert featuring the Mark Daniel Band and up and coming country artist, Brandon Hodde will commence at 8 pm.
Music Friendly Community Virtual Workshop - Grapevine
The Texas Music Office (TMO) and the Grapevine Convention & Visitor's Bureau will co-host a virtual Music Friendly Community workshop on Tuesday, February 15 at 6 pm CST. TMO Community Relations and Outreach Specialist Chip Adams will co-host the workshop via livestream to represent the TMO, answer questions, and speak about the Music Friendly Community program.
Music Friendly Communities Launch Virtual Roundtable Discussions
Over the past two weeks, the Texas Music Office (TMO) Music Friendly Community Liaisons have been brought together over a series of virtual round table discussions. The idea for this stemmed from the TMO’s Texas Sounds and Cities Conference this past September, where a significant part of the day was spent in breakout sessions. The ideas that flowed from those breakouts truly showed how important it is for our cities to have platforms for communication, sharing ideas and learning from both their successes and mistakes. To keep this momentum moving forward, the virtual round tables were created and kicked off earlier this month.
