Oculto Film Festival

The 6th edition of the OCULTO FILM FESTIVAL aims to establish itself as an esteemed international platform for filmmakers and content creators, offering them a unique opportunity to exhibit their artistic works. Our fundamental objective revolves around the delivery of a comprehensive genre film experience to a diverse and discerning audience, while concurrently fostering valuable networking and viewing opportunities for the exceptionally talented filmmakers who grace each edition with their presence.

Throughout the entire month of October, our festival will unfold across two border cities, El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. Additionally, we are proud to announce that the festival will be broadcast on channels 44 and 66, thus broadening its outreach to encompass regions including Chihuahua, Mexicali, and soon, Tijuana. The festival's itinerary will feature a meticulously curated lineup of film screenings, running throughout the day at Cinepolis theaters. These cinematic presentations will be enhanced by an inaugural cocktail event on Friday the 13th and a closing celebration held at a nearby venue, contributing to an enriched overall experience.

At the very core of our mission lies the aspiration to unite the imaginative minds, creators, and artists, with a larger cultural agenda that endeavors to elevate Chihuahua to a prominent stature as a film destination. Simultaneously, we are committed to offering a platform that serves as a launchpad for promising future creative endeavors.

La 6ª edición del OCULTO FILM FESTIVAL aspira a establecerse como una distinguida plataforma internacional para cineastas y creadores de contenido, brindándoles una oportunidad única para exhibir sus obras artísticas. Nuestro objetivo fundamental gira en torno a proporcionar una completa experiencia de cine de género a una audiencia diversa y exigente, al mismo tiempo que fomentamos valiosas oportunidades de networking y visualización para los excepcionalmente talentosos cineastas que honran cada edición con su presencia.

Durante todo el mes de octubre, nuestro festival se desarrollará en dos ciudades fronterizas, El Paso, Texas, y Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. Además, nos enorgullece anunciar que el festival se transmitirá en los canales 44 y 66, ampliando así su alcance para abarcar regiones que incluyen Chihuahua, Mexicali y, próximamente, Tijuana. El itinerario del festival contará con una cuidadosa selección de proyecciones de películas, que se llevarán a cabo durante todo el día en los cines Cinepolis. Estas presentaciones cinematográficas se enriquecerán con un evento de inauguración el viernes 13 y una celebración de clausura que se llevará a cabo en un lugar cercano, contribuyendo a una experiencia global enriquecida.

En el centro mismo de nuestra misión yace la aspiración de unir las mentes imaginativas, los creadores y los artistas, con una agenda cultural más amplia que se esfuerza por elevar a Chihuahua a una posición destacada como destino cinematográfico. Al mismo tiempo, estamos comprometidos a ofrecer una plataforma que sirva como trampolín para futuros empeños creativos prometedores.

Awards & Prizes

The best in each category will receive the "OCULTO Candle." Every participating short film will receive a certificate of entry and festival tickets.
