Texas continues to be a global economic force and remains one of the strongest and most diverse economies in the nation. Below is a snapshot of the state's economic status:
- The Texas economy expanded faster than the nation as a whole in the fourth quarter of 2025 at an annual rate of 1.4% based on Real GDP (U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis).
- Texas is America's #1 jobs creator, leading the nation for jobs added in 2025.
- Texas gained 112,200 jobs from January 2025 to January 2026, leading all states and outpacing the national annual job growth rate. (Texas Workforce Commission)
