College of the Mainland Music Program offers an Associate of Arts in Music Degree. The program is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in music. The two-year course of study is transferable to a four-year music program. The music major must complete a balanced program, including music theory, sight-singing and ear training, music literature, private instruction on a major instrument, performance in ensembles and complete the state required core curriculum. State of the Art Computer Assisted Instructional Music Lab. Music Scholarships are available for those who qualify. Additional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, and the Music Teachers National Association.
