San Jacinto College Central offers a comprehensive Associate of Applied Science Degree in Music Business/Audio Engineering, as well as a Certificate of Applied Science in Audio Engineering. Both programs include an intensive "hands-on" approach to those concepts and techniques that are fundamentally related to the modern recording and production studios. The recording facility is a 24-track, computer-automated complex which includes a full complement of microphones, digital hard-disk editing devices, analog and digital tape machines, state-of-the-art signal processing and other ancillary hardware which are found only in the most up-to-date audio facilities.
Performance opportunities include: College Choir, 50-60 Jan Corbin; Concert Band, 55-70 Karen Marston, Jazz Band, 3 ensembles, 10-12 Eric Late; Steel Drum Band, 14 Michael Mizma; SJCC Chamber Singers, 18 Paul Busselberg.
