  • The Texas Association of Music Schools is an association of the Chairs and Deans of all Texas higher education music schools and departments. Its purpose is to advance the cause of music in higher education and improve the quality and programs for the music educational system in Texas through promotion of inter-institutional cooperation and exercise of educational leadership. TAMS holds an annual conference to discuss issues and trends relevant to college and university music instruction and curriculum.
