Governor Abbott Attends Unveiling Ceremony For Israel’s F-35 Adir In Fort Worth

Governor Greg Abbott today delivered remarks and attended the unveiling ceremony for Israel's F-35 Adir fighter jet at the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company plant in Fort Worth. Alongside Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Daniel Shapiro and Israeli Air Force (IAF) Brigadier General Tal Kelman, Governor Abbott affirmed Texas’ strong bond and cooperation with Israel on both economic development and national security.

F-35 Adir Facts:

  • 5th Generation fighter aircraft
  • Began manufacturing in Fort Worth in January 2016
  • 50 F-35s ordered by Israel so far
  • Set to be delivered to IAF in late 2016
