First Lady Honors Women Members Of The 84th Legislature
First Lady Cecilia Abbott, along with Governor Greg Abbott and the Governor’s Commission for Women, today hosted a luncheon to honor the women members of the 84th Texas Legislature and thank them for their leadership and commitment to Texas.
“I believe that we are all called to service. But no matter the call, in Texas, it is women who are leading the way,” First Lady Abbott said. “Thank you for your service to our state, and for your commitment to ensuring that every Texan has the chance to succeed. Your leadership is invaluable, your wisdom is irreplaceable, and you are truly a treasure and an inspiration to all Texas women.”
