Governor Abbott Appoints Kinsey To 440th Judicial District Court

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Grant Kinsey as judge of the 440th Judicial District Court in Coryell County for a term until December 31, 2018 or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified. This appointment will be effective January 1, 2017.

Grant Kinsey of Gatesville is an attorney in private practice. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and McLennan County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and a former member of the McLennan County Bar Association. Additionally, he is a director of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Area Go Texan Committee and Gatesville Lions Club and a former volunteer for the Coryell County 4-H and Gatesville Citizens Against Substance Abuse. Kinsey received a Bachelor of Science in agricultural communications from Texas Tech University and a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law.
