Governor Abbott Appoints Six To Nueces River Authority Board Of Directors

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Allan P. Bloxsom III, Amy Clark, Gary Moore and Travis Pruski and reappointed Eric Burnett and Tommy Ramirez to the Nueces River Authority Board of Directors for terms set to expire February 1, 2021.

Allan P. Bloxsom III of Kendalia is president of Fort Apache Energy, Inc. and Drilling Risk Management, Inc. and has over 25 years in the oil and gas industry. He is a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors. Bloxsom attended Houston Baptist University and The University of Texas at Austin.

Amy Clark of Three Rivers is a freelance marketing consultant. She is a former gubernatorial appointee to the Texas Radiation Advisory Board and was elected to the Wilson County Memorial Hospital Board of Directors from 2011-2015. Clark received a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University.

Gary Moore of Portland is president of Moore Insurance Agency and is a councilman and former mayor pro tem for the City of Portland. He is a member of Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, Corpus Christi Citizens Police Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and former member of the Portland Rotary Club and Harris County Citizens Police Association. Additionally, he is a member of the Knights of Columbus and Patriot Guard Riders of South Texas.

Travis Pruski of Floresville is owner of A Plus School Solutions. He is the financial officer, past mayor and past councilman for the City of Poth. He is a member of the Association of Fund-Raising Distributors & Suppliers, chairman of Ride to Remember – City of Poth and former chairman of the Poth Education Foundation. Pruski received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from The University of Texas at Austin.

Eric Burnett of Portland is president and CEO of South Texas Valve & Controls. He is the past president of the Portland Rotary Club, past vice president of the Gregory Portland Independent School District Board and past board chairman of the Business Professionals of America – Texas Association and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes – Coastal Bend. Additionally, he is a member of the Kairos Prison Ministry of Texas McConnell Unit Advisory Council and the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church Finance Council. Burnett received a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Tommy Ramirez of Devine is an attorney in private practice. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas. Ramirez received a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law.
