Governor Abbott Reappoints Dolgener And Morris To Texas Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact

Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Richard Dolgener and Linda Morris to the Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact Commission for terms to expire on September 1, 2021. The commission manages and disposes of low level radioactive waste, while maintaining the health, safety and welfare of citizens.

Richard H. Dolgener of Andrews has served as the Andrews County Judge since May 2001. He is a member of the West Texas County Judges and Commissioners, Texas Association of Regional Councils and Texas Judicial College for County Judges. Additionally, he is a member of Andrews Downtown Lions Club and Permian Basin Council on Drug and Alcohol. Dolgener attended The University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

Linda Kay Morris of Waco is a licensed medical health physicist and an associate professor at Texas State Technical College Environmental Health and Safety Technology Department. She also serves as the radiation safety officer for the college. She is a fellow of the Health Physics Society and past president and current student assistant chair of the South Texas Chapter of the Health Physics Society. Additionally, she is a member of the Central Texas Regional Science & Engineering Fair. Morris received a Bachelor of Science in biology from Lamar University and a Master of Science in biophysics from Texas A&M University.
