Governor Abbott Appoints Three To The San Jacinto River Authority Board Of Directors

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Ronald Anderson and reappointed Fred Koetting to the San Jacinto River Authority Board of Directors for terms set to expire on October 16, 2021. The Governor additionally appointed Gary Renola for a term to expire on October 16, 2017.

Ronald “Ronnie” Anderson of Mont Belvieu is a semi-retired executive vice president of Community Resource Credit Union (CRCU) and a political liaison for CRCU and the credit union industry. He is chairman of the Baytown-West Chambers Economic Development Foundation and member, past director and past president of the Rotary Club of Baytown. In addition, he previously served as a Baytown City Councilman. Anderson was honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserves, and attended Lee College, San Jacinto College and University of Houston where he studied business and banking.

Fred Koetting of The Woodlands is president and CEO of Schulte Building Systems. He is a former board member of Lone Star College Foundation and American Heart Association. Koetting received a Bachelor of Business in accounting from Michigan State University.

Gary Renola of Seabrook is retired after more than 30 years of working for ExxonMobil. He is on the board of directors for Clear Creek Education Foundation and the Space Center Rotary. He is former mayor and former city council member of the City of Seabrook. In addition, he is a past member of the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Houston, West Chambers County Chamber of Commerce, Bay Area Houston Convention Visitors Bureau and Bay Area Houston Transportation Partnership. Renola received a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois.
