Governor Abbott Appoints Blackwell To Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Nancy Blackwell, P.E. for a term set to expire on August 31, 2017, to the Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority. The Authority has the authority to provide water systems and control water pollution and waste disposal within the district. In addition, they shall conduct studies and research on the control of water pollution and waste disposal within the district.

Nancy Blackwell, P.E. of Spring is president of AEI Engineering. She is president of the Texas Society of Engineers and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering, American Water Works Association, Texas Engineering Foundation and Association of Water Board Directors. She is the chair of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, volunteer with MD Anderson Children’s Art Project and team captain for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night. Blackwell received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Texas A&M University.
